Get in home supports from the Illinois Assistive Technology Program. This can include items like adaptive equipment, communication devices, and mobility aids to improve daily living. You can go to your local Community Resource Center & Cafe to obtain a device. You are also welcome to visit their website or their physical location to see the many options available to you or your Care Receiver.

Multi-Sector Plan on Aging- EngAging Illinois

The Illinois Multi‑Sector Plan for Aging is a 10‑year statewide blueprint designed to prepare Illinois for its rapidly growing older adult population. It coordinates action across healthcare, housing, transportation, caregiving, economic security, and community development to build an age‑friendly Illinois. It was launched under Executive Order 2024‑02, which directed the Illinois Department on Aging to lead the effort.

The plan focuses on:

  • Creating livable, connected communities

  • Expanding access to healthcare and prevention

  • Strengthening the direct‑care workforce

  • Supporting family and paid caregivers

  • Improving housing and transportation options

  • Advancing equity for older adults across the state

RIDES Mass Transit - now offers a way for the older adults to avoid calling their office to book their transportation requests. They can now use their phone (with either google play or apple), under these links to make their reservations.
